The Grassroots Digital Hub began with a conversation between Rusa Jeremic at George Brown Polytechnic, the Centre for Connected Communities (Catalysts’ Circle) and the Local Champions Network (a grassroots network of community leaders across Toronto’s Neighbourhood Improvement Areas NIAs).

None of this would have been possible without the excellent team that came together over different aspects of the project. The project provided opportunities for both grassroots community members and George Brown Polytechnic Community Worker Program students and alumni to come together to carry out the research and help create the website.

The research project relied on amazing community partners who came forward at key moments to help advance our goals and to SSHRC (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council) whose funding made it all possible.
